Enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and wired networking for homes and offices — no dead zones, no buffering.

What We Do

Network Installation in South Amboy, NJ

South Amboy is our home base — we're a South Amboy-based low-voltage contractor with deep roots in the community and strong familiarity with local builders, GCs, and developers.

Consumer routers are designed to be cheap and easy to set up — not to provide reliable, seamless coverage in a real home or office. If you're dealing with dead zones, buffering, or a network that falls apart when guests arrive, the problem usually isn't your internet service — it's your infrastructure. Netinstall installs enterprise-grade network systems in South Amboy that are designed for reliability, speed, and the number of devices modern homes actually use.

We specialize in Ubiquiti UniFi systems — access points, switches, and security gateways that deliver true enterprise Wi-Fi performance at a fraction of the cost of commercial systems. UniFi access points support seamless roaming across a building, handle dozens of simultaneous devices without performance degradation, and give you a single dashboard for monitoring and management. We design, install, configure, and test the complete system.

We also handle the physical network infrastructure: running Cat6 home runs to access point locations, installing PoE switches, mounting and configuring patch panels, and terminating all connections cleanly. For South Amboy clients with existing cabling, we can audit and upgrade what's there. We're based in South Amboy and have deployed networks throughout South Amboy and the wider Middlesex County area.

FAQ

Common Questions

What's the difference between UniFi and consumer routers?
Consumer routers (Netgear, TP-Link, Eero) are designed for quick, simple setup but have real limitations: they struggle with many simultaneous devices, don't roam seamlessly between units, and offer little visibility into what's happening on your network. UniFi is a managed enterprise system — separate access points, switches, and controller software — that handles high device counts, seamless roaming, VLANs, and detailed traffic analytics. It costs more upfront but is significantly more reliable and scalable.
How many access points do I need?
It depends on your home's square footage, construction materials (concrete, metal studs, and brick attenuate Wi-Fi significantly), and the number of floors. A typical 2,000–3,000 sq ft two-story home needs two to three access points for full coverage. We always do a site survey before recommending a count — we don't want you to over-buy or end up short.
Do you configure the network or just run cable?
We do both — always. Running cable without configuring the network is half a job. We configure the UniFi controller, set up your SSIDs, create VLANs (separate networks for IoT devices and guests is a best practice), configure firewall rules, and test throughput at every location before we leave.
Can you troubleshoot an existing network?
Yes. We do network audits for clients who have persistent issues — slow speeds in certain rooms, dropouts, smart home devices that keep disconnecting. We test your current infrastructure, identify the root cause, and give you a clear set of recommendations. Sometimes it's a configuration issue; sometimes it's hardware; sometimes it's the cabling.
Do you work with my existing internet service provider?
Yes. We work with any ISP — Verizon FiOS, Comcast/Xfinity, Optimum, and others common in our area. We connect UniFi to your existing modem or ONT and can configure it to maximize the speed you're paying for. We don't touch or replace ISP equipment.
